What do you believe?

Welcome to this website! You might be interested in the return of Jesus Christ, but before getting into that topic, let’s start with what you believe.

Some facts: You are alive, have a mum and dad, and you might have wondered: How on earth did all this come into existence? And now, I am here. What should be my purpose in life? In one of the oldest stories known to mankind, the Epic of Gilgamesh, Gilgamesh searched for eternal life. Who doesn’t want to live forever?

It doesn’t take much thought that eternal life in this state of our bodies/world might not always be a good thing. Before discussing our possible futures, wouldn’t it be good to find out where we came from? What do you believe about that?

Where did we come from?

Well, to start with, you might have been told that the Earth is 4.5 billion years old, and during those long eras, life and mankind just appeared out of chaos.

You could ask yourself some questions:

1 The Earth contains a lot of water, and there is erosion. In a few million years, the water would swallow up all land. Why didn’t that happen? Maybe you didn’t realise that it is a bit of a problem in the evolution theory, but it is.

2 The Earth’s magnetic field is decreasing, see Earth’s magnetic field – Wikipedia. It is there to protect us from radiation. Even if you believe in non-proven Magnetic field reversals, how could there be life if there is no or little magnetic field for some time?

3 Dinosaurs, which people believe lived 65 million years ago, are found with soft tissue (Many Dino Fossils Could Have Soft Tissue Inside (archive.org)).

4 And where does the moon come from? It is circling the Earth about 100,000 kilometres. How did it ever come into existence, and why is it still there? It should have crashed on the Earth or flown away already. Moon – Wikipedia.

5 It is already something to believe: There was nothing, and then it exploded. The next step is: Where does life come from? Check out: Life – Wikipedia, and find out that it is not easy to make theories about how dead material becomes alive.

What about us?

We, as mankind, have a blood system, we need air, we have bones and flesh, and all work pretty well together. It is pretty tough to believe that something like mankind could come into existence out of random biological processes. On top of that, we can reproduce ourselves, which is a complex process. Do not think that all scientists believe that random mutation and natural selection account for the complexity of life: https://dissentfromdarwin.org/.

And think about the earth/sun distance, how the atmosphere gives us air and how clouds rain on our plants, and so on. In a way, you need quite some faith to believe in the theory of evolution.

What do you believe?

Have you noticed that all wikis mentioned on this page completely leave out the possibility that God could have created the Universe or Life? If you do scientific research, you should take all possibilities into account, not only the ones you have faith in or like.

What if there is a God… He doesn’t need billions of years to create life. According to the Jewish calendar, we live in 3 Av 5786.

It is clear from the text above that there are more possibilities about how it all came into existence. You have the free will to think about it and decide what you believe.
