Michael Drosnin wrote the book Bible Code in 1997. The book is based on a scientific article named:
Equidistant Letter Sequences in the Book of Genesis
Which has been published by the Institute of Mathematical Statistics. The Institute of Mathematical Statistics doesn’t get religious-oriented papers so frequently, but they handled this one objectively and approved it. People have been looking into the Bible trying to find secret messages, but since the computer age, there has been breakthroughs.
If you’ve got so far on this website, you have definitely learned that if something is true, there is a lot of media going around that it is not true. It is no different than with the Bible Code.
Rabbi Weismandel and the Torah Codes in the Torah
Rabbi Weismandel wrote about Torah Codes (answering-islam.org), which is quite interesting. Torah is the word for the first 5 books of Moses. An interesting web site by the way. It inspired me to create a computer program to really see the codes: jaeikelenboom/biblecode: Code to verify the crc of the old testament (github.com)

The codes in this example are only 4 characters long, but they appear in specific places in the first verses of the book. As you see, Genesis and Exodus have the word Thora, while Numeri and Deuterionomium have the word Thora in reverse order. It points to the middle book. And the point to a code in the book of Leviticus, named JahWeh. This is an important name.
Bible Code in Isaiah
A good book about bible code in the Old Testament is Bible Code Bombshell from R. Edwin Sherman. His focus is on bible codes in Isaiah, and especially Isaiah 53, as that is a prophecy about Jesus Christ. He found codes about Jesus as long as 22 characters. The chance to find these is very, very small.
Conclusion
I am quite convinced about Bible Code after reading and programming about it. If you are interested in it, don’t believe it because I said so but study the matter. If you leave it, as there are more important topics to spend time on in this world, that is good as well.
