About me getting to know God
I grew up in the west of Holland, and after studying in Delft, I moved to Utrecht in 1994. There, God caught me. I started believing in Jesus Christ as my Saviour, changed my lifestyle, and got baptized.
I ended up in Israel in 1995 for three months and had time to read my bible completely. The time I found out God is very real in my life. It was great reading the Bible and visiting the places where you read about.
As a logical person who knows God, I could easily believe that Jesus fed the 5000 at the lake of Galilee and that he rose again. But I had quite some trouble believing that the earth is at most 6000 years old, as I knew that the old is 4 billion years old. Though it didn’t stop my faith in Jesus, it hindered it, so I started to find out what the truth was.
I started getting the beginning of the Bible right (yes, I do believe the earth and mankind are young), and I found out that on the other side of the Bible, the end is hidden in mysteries as well. On this website, I want to explain what I believe and why I believe. So far, about me.
Jesus will return
Well, at least one thing is certain: Jesus will return! At least for me ;-). This website also has information for people who are still searching for God but haven’t found Him yet.
Which of the prophecies in the book of Revelation (and the Old Testament) still need to happen? I read my bible many times from cover to cover which gives you good insights into the main line of the stories and what specific symbols mean that are used in the book of Revelation. My focus is to verify prophecies about events that have already happened. And whatever I write, whatever you read, do check it!
